Single cantilever gantry crane

Single cantilever gantry crane in metro construction is mainly responsible for the hoisting of tunnel muck, vertical transportation of materials and components, such as shield. Double cantilever gantry crane

Double cantilever gantry crane is mainly refers to the extension of the main gantry girder of the gantry crane, it is mainly used in the place where the work space is limited but needs to realize long-distance transportation, such as mountain road construction, railway, highway, steel mill, shipbuilding and so on. Due to operating outdoors all year round, double cantilever gantry crane has a relatively high gantry structure, the weight is relatively large, and can withstand greater wind. According to the load capacity, it can also be classified light duty cantilever gantry crane (below 15T), medium duty cantilever gantry crane (15T--150T), and heavy gantry duty cantilever crane (more than 150T).

What makes cantilever gantry crane special?

According to the differences of span, height and lifting capacity, designers can lengthen the main gantry girder in accordance with the standard ratio, so that the length of main gantry girder is greater than the gantry crane span, to meet customer needs in different site. Cantilever gantry crane can not only meet the use requirements, but also more important is to make full use of the material, reduce the weight. The cantilever length can be equal or unequal, or only a single cantilever, depending on the specific circumstances of the freight yard. As a general purpose gantry crane, it is more general to use a double cantilever gantry structure with equal length (or nearly equal length).

How to choose a suitable cantilever gantry crane

Used in outdoor operation, gantry crane is divided into three types: single cantilever gantry crane, double cantilever gantry crane and non-cantilever gantry crane. If there is a wide range of horizontal operations, customers are recommended to choose a double cantilever gantry crane. Structure of single cantilever gantry crane is often used as a result of the site limitation, is a reform of the general gantry crane, evolved on the basis of ordinary gantry crane.
